If you are over 65years of age or have a chronic condition such as diabetes, copd, heart disease, asthma, stroke, reduced immunity due to disease or treatment,serious kidney disease it is recommneded that you have a flu vaccination.

MIND at Manor House Surgery

Are you feeling stressed, in a low mood or just down right depressed?Maybe you are feeling ok but want to feel great! If so you can arrange an appointment.

It's not often we get the opportunity to take time out and talk to someone who is there simply to listen. MIND's service is just that. As well as providing a safe space for you to talk, MIND volunteers can give you information on current services and direct you to other agencies in the community.

MIND will be holding clinics at Hadfield from 2nd July. There will be both "drop in" and prebookable "one to one" clinics on Wednesdays and Fridays 10.00 - 12.00. The one to one appointments last 50 minutes. Please ring the surgery at Hadfield to book these.

Medical Students

Fifth year medical students, in their final year pre qualification, are working with us from the end of August until March 2011. If you do not want a medical student to be present at your consultation, please let reception staff know.

Patient Information

Patient Participation Meetings are held every 2 months. All patients, from either site are welcome to attend. They are held at Glossop on Thursday evenings at 7pm. The next meetings are: 9th September and 11th November.

The aim of the meetings is to involve patients in planning and improving the services the surgery provides or deciding on information patients would like about the surgery.

If you have any queries about coming along to a meeting or joining our patient group please contact either Mary Fitton or Shirely Wallwork at the surgery.

There is an information room with literature on a large variety of health related topics at Manor House Hadfield. You are welcome to use this whenever the Hadfield Site is open.
