Travel clinic

The North West Travel Clinic, located at our main Glossop surgery provides a specialist service for travellers requiring vaccination and immunisation. Qualified nursing staff are on hand to offer advice and administer vaccinations, and we stock a selection of Travel Goods.

The Travel Clinic is a private clinic, as travel advice is not part of the general medical services contract. Other surgeries within the locality also hold private travel clinics.

Correct immunisation is vital to ensure good health whilst travelling and our staff are fully up-to-date with the latest vaccination requirements in each part of the world. For ease of access, The North West Travel Clinic is open on Saturday mornings from 9.00 am until 10.30 am and Thursday evenings from 4.00pm until 6.30pm. Private Reports and Medicals

We complete many types of reports and medicals at both surgeries, including Travel Cancellation forms, Occupational Health, Pre-employment questionnaires, Sickness and Injury Claim Forms, and HGV/Taxi/Pilots medicals. These are all outside of normal General Medical Services and therefore carry a charge

Please note that we always try and complete forms as soon as possible, however on occasions it may take up to 4 weeks for them to be processed. In order to assist us to complete them as quickly as possible, please ensure that all forms are handed in at the Reception desk (please do not give them to the Doctors), and contain your name, address, date of birth, and written consent to provide the information. Many forms will have this built in, but please check that you have signed the consent page, or this will cause a delay.
