Sir John Oldham
P7260100.JPG Qualified in 1978 and worked originally in the Manchester teaching hospitals. He has a special interest in paediatrics and gained the Diploma in Child Health. He was the founder of Manor House Surgery, building it in 1989. The surgery was one of the first in the country to gain the Charter Mark and Investors in People. He gained an MBA with distinction from Manchester Business school in 1992 and created the National Primary Care Development Team in 2000 at the request of the Department of Health. He was awarded the OBE for services to patients in 2001, and knighted for services to the NHS in 2003.

Although travelling extensively as Head of the Improvement Foundation, Sir John cherishes his clinical days each Thursday and Friday at Manor House. Coming from a family of bakers, the staff are occasionally treated to his cooking; live music of all genres being another great interest.

Dr Guy Wilkinson
P7260100.JPG After qualifying in Liverpool in 1992 and completing posts in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, ENT, Accident & Emergency and General Medicine, Dr Wilkinson entered this Practice in Glossop in 1997. His main interests are minor surgery, the management of chronic diseases in primary care, restoring his 1965 Mini Cooper and supporting Everton FC.

His areas of non-clinical responsibility in the Practice are finance and prescribing. He is a qualified GP trainer and assists in the teaching of medical students from Manchester University
Dr Nicola Thorley
nicky.JPG Dr Thorley qualified in in 1994 and subsequently did hospital jobs in paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, psychiatry, A&E, palliative care and medicine before entering general practice. She started at Manor House Surgery in 1999 and her main clinical interests are diabetes and women’s health. In addition Dr Thorley is responsible for the management of our medical staff and ensuring the practice achieves high clinical standards year on year.

Dr Susan Moore
After qualifying in Manchester in 2001 and completing posts in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, General Surgery, Accident & Emergency and General Medicine, Dr. Munday entered this Practice in Glossop in 2005. As well as a general interest in all medical fields her more specific interests include women's health, palliative care, and preventative medicine, and shoe shopping.

Her areas of non-clinical responsibility in the Practice are practice-based comissioning and the teaching of medical students from Manchester University.

Dr. Eeleen Woon MB ChB

Dr Woon qualified from Liverpool in 2001. Moved up to Lancaster for 2 years and did a 2 year medical rotation covering Elderley care, Cardiology, Endocrinology and Respiratory Medicine. Found medicine not her cup of tea and decided to move back down to Manchester to join the GP training scheme. Completing post in Obstetric and Gynaecology and Psychiatry. Finally completed her GP training in 2006. Dr Woon joined the team in Manor House in 2006. She provides joint injections to patients in the practice. Other personal interests include travelling abroad, fishing and cooking.

She doesn't mind being called by first name, Elaine.

After qualifying in 1996, he worked in medicine for sometime. He completed GP training from North Western Deanery in July 2007. His special interests include chronic disease management, minor surgery and family planning. His interests outside medicine include playing cricket and listening to music. He joined Manor House Surgery in August 2007. MBBS,DFFP
